Bike Tour in the Silver Coast of Portugal

In this bike tour you will get to ride from the northern Silver Coast city of Alcobaça, with its iconic Monastery, immerse in the medieval village of Óbidos and make your way towards the south, discovering the piscatorial villages and amazing natural beauty of this coast. Ride by Sintra and visit its UNESCO world heritage sites.

Start of your bike tour, from Alcobaça, where you can visit the city center and monastery, before heading to the coast line, by the amazing beaches and bay of São Martinho do Porto and the Óbidos lagoon at Foz do Arelho. Breakfast at the hotel and start of the Silver Coast bike tour, towards the piscatorial village of Peniche. Stop at Baleal, an island curiously attached to the mainland by a narrow piece of land. Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the Silver Coast bike tour, from Ericeira to Mafra, where you can visit the National Palace and Convent, masterpiece of the baroque from the 17th century. Afterwards, we’ll ride by the ocean, towards Sintra, to the Maçãs beach and climb towards the historical enter, checking in at the Sintra Boutique Hotel (included in the "premium" option), right in front of the old palace or the Casa do Valle a few meters down the hill.

Breakfast at the hotel. Start of your bike tour, exploring the SIntra natural park, on a ride by Palacio da Pena, Quinta da Regaleira and the best landmarks in the area. Ride towards Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point and amazing viewpoint and then towards Cascais, a cosmopolitan maritime village and one of the wealthiest municipalities in Portugal,before riding back to your hotel in Sintra

Our E-bikes will assist you on any type of terrain. Our E-bike fleet is composed of Scott E-Scale 930 and Scott Aspect E-Ride bikes, equipped with 500W capacity Bosch batteries, that will allow you to ride for long distances and assist you during the toughest climbs with their 250W of power in the Bosch motor. These aluminum framed Scott bikes come equiped with front suspension with lockout.
/ Riding is a great part of my life, and I ride my bike regularly with my friends. I am comfortable with rides of 2 to 3 hours, or even more at a relatively strong pace. I like to be challenged and to surpass obstacles or just ride smoothly in a peloton.
You will get to feel different riding experiences, from tougher climbs to rolling along in great company. You’ll have time to enjoy the great landscapes, gain speed in the descents and also push yourself and climb those tough hills. You’ll enjoy the variety of terrain, riding in a peloton and pushing a little harder just before the stop at the café.
Luís is our resident mountain biker. Whenever he is not guiding groups, he's out riding or building new trails in Portugal. Luís has designed this tour, making sure it includes some of his favorite trails, adding just a touch of adrenaline to the best of this region.
We had a wonderful week of cycling with friends in a private tour of the Douro Valley. The guys from Live Love Ride (Ricardo, Luis & Daniel) were excellent-they couldn't do enough to ensure that we had a great time including directing us to some fabulous restaurants for lunches. The bikes were first class and the accommodation outstanding. We can thoroughly recommend Live Love Ride.
