What you'll be experiencing everyday

Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon, transfer to Ericeira

After arriving in Lisbon, you’ll be welcomed with a thirty minutes private transfer to the seaside town of Ericeira, known for its stunning ocean views and laid-back atmosphere. Settle in at your hotel where you’ll be briefed by our guides on the upcoming days, and go for a walk in Ericeira’s historical center, a picturesque fishing village on Portugal’s west coast, known for its stunning Atlantic views, charming cobblestone streets, and laid-back vibe – Europe’s only World Surf Reserve. Day 2: Loop by the Westcoast's vineyards and riding by the Mafra Palace – 59km, 1000 meters of accumulated height

Today’s ride takes you through the stunning landscapes of Portugal’s West Coast vineyards. You’ll start riding north, passing by vantage points over the stunning Ribeira d’Ilhas beach – the start of the , and then ride inland, by countryside roads until you reach the local wine estates like Adega Mãe – where a visit and tasting of wines crafted from the unique terroir of this coastal region is included. Keep riding by the wine country until you reach Tapada de Mafra, a former royal hunting ground, and the impressive Mafra Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing opulent Baroque architecture. Ride back to Ericeira,with time to relax and savor the sea air, following the trails of the Lizandro river. Day 3: Ericeira to Sintra's historical center, via Azenhas do Mar (41km, 900 accumulated height)

Leaving behind the charming seaside town of Ericeira, we pedal south, following the rhythm of the Atlantic waves towards São Julião Beach. The salty breeze and golden cliffs set the tone for a morning of spectacular coastal riding. From here, the route hugs the rugged coastline, leading us to Praia do Magoito, where the deep blue ocean stretches endlessly to the horizon. The road winds along dramatic cliffs, offering breathtaking views that make every pedal stroke worth it. Then, we reach one of the most iconic postcard spots of the day—Azenhas do Mar. This picturesque village, perched on the edge of a cliff, is a perfect stop to soak in the beauty of whitewashed houses cascading down to the Atlantic – and a great stop for your mid ride lunch by the sea. Then, we'll follow the road towards's Sintra's historical center, through lush green landscapes, shaded by the mystical forests that have long made Sintra a fairytale destination. Passing by the Palácio de Seteais, a stunning neoclassical palace with sweeping views of the valley, we continue towards the enchanting Quinta de Monserrate, where exotic gardens and architectural beauty transport us to another era. Finally, we roll into Sintra’s historical center, where cobbled streets, palatial architecture, and the scent of fresh travesseiros (Sintra’s famous pastries) welcome us. Tonight, we rest in the heart of this UNESCO-listed town, reflecting on a day filled with coastal wonders, challenging climbs, and the timeless magic of Sintra.

Day 4: Sintra's mountain range and Cabo da Roca (40km, 900 accumulated height) – or optional hike

Today’s ride takes us deep into the heart of the Sintra Mountain Range, a lush and mystical landscape where winding roads, dense forests, and breathtaking ocean views create the perfect setting for an unforgettable cycling adventure. We start from Sintra’s historical center, climbing gradually into the forested slopes of the sierra. Reaching the mountain’s highest points, we’re rewarded with panoramic views stretching over the coastline, where the deep blue of the Atlantic meets the rugged cliffs of western Portugal.From here, we descend along twisting turns and lush greenery that leads us to one of today’s highlights—Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Standing on the edge of the continent, the dramatic cliffs drop steeply into the crashing waves below, a sight that reminds us why Portugal’s coastline is one of the most spectacular in the world. The adventure continues as we climb back into the mountains, heading towards the Sanctuary of Peninha, a mystical chapel perched high on a hilltop with 360-degree views over the ocean and Sintra’s rolling hills. The return ride takes us past two of Sintra’s most iconic landmarks—the Palácio da Pena, with its colorful turrets and fairy-tale charm, and the Moorish Castle, whose ancient walls have stood watch over the region for centuries.

On your final day, as we roll out from Sintra's historical center, the road climbs gently into the Sintra Mountain Range, wrapping us in a canopy of dense forest. Once again reaching the mountain’s heights, panoramic vistas open up—where rugged cliffs meet the vastness of the ocean, and the rolling hills of Sintra unfold beneath us.

From here, we descend through the lush greenery towards Quinta do Pisão, a beautifully restored rural estate within the park. This peaceful haven invites us to pause, breathe in the tranquility, and enjoy the estate’s sustainable landscapes, native flora, and charming walking paths. It’s a perfect spot to refresh before continuing our journey. Back on the saddle, we make our way toward the coast, where the terrain gently undulates through open fields before revealing the dramatic shoreline at Guincho Beach. Known for its wild beauty and sweeping winds, Guincho’s golden sands and crashing waves provide a breathtaking backdrop for a well-deserved break.

The final stretch of today’s ride follows the scenic Ciclovia do Guincho, a dedicated cycling path that hugs the coastline. As we pedal along this smooth, oceanfront route, the salty breeze and expansive sea views accompany us all the way to the vibrant town of Cascais. We roll into Cascais Bay, where the charming promenade, bustling cafés, and gentle lapping waves offer the perfect end to a day filled with natural beauty, exhilarating climbs, and coastal serenity.

Day 6: Farewell and Transfer to Lisbon

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Cascais before your private transfer back to Lisbon airport or hotel.
